On April 28, 2016, the Monterey County Water Resources Agency (MCWRA) filed a Notice of Preparation of an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the Interlake Tunnel and Spillway Modification Project. The Project would consist of a tunnel approximately 2 miles in length which would be capable of diverting water from Nacimiento Reservoir in San Luis Obispo County to San Antonio Reservoir in Monterey County, and increase the elevation of the spillway at San Antonio Reservoir to in-crease its storage capacity. The Notice of Preparation is available online at: www.mcwra.co.monterey.ca.us
MCWRA requests input from interested individuals, public agencies, and other parties regarding the scope and content of the EIR during the public scoping period. The scoping period begins on April 28, 2016 and ends on June 13, 2016. During this period, MCWRA will hold two scoping meetings on the following dates listed below.
